Voices Of Vista

Another happy addition to my Nilsson vault. This time a radio interview with Harry conducted by Gene Klavan all in aid of the Volunteers In Service To America initiative.

Some classic Nilsson tracks are dropped in between the interview pieces and while they’re fairly short they’re actually pretty enjoyable.

Opa! Without You!

I couldn’t say how many Greek pressings were originally produced of Harry’s work but I can tell you I don’t come across them all that often. So, when I spot one I grab it. I’m also always very happy when the original company sleeve is present as was the case for this copy of Without You / Gotta Get Up.

Il faut être plus de deux pour … Skidoo!

I’ve seen the artwork used for a number of promotional items in various countries but it wasn’t until about a year ago that I discovered it was also used for the French pressing of the Skidoo soundtrack.

A couple of days ago, I was able to acquire a nice copy of it for myself and so I share it with you all now. The vinyl just needs a bit of a clean and then it will be placed next to my US 1st press. Always fun adding variant covers to the collection.

German Sleeve Variant – Everybody’s Talkin’

When this pressing first passed my gaze I didn’t give it much thought. I knew this sleeve artwork well and instantly recognized it as a German pressing which I already had in my collection but then something seemed slightly, “off”. It was then that I noticed this was a sleeve variant. The German pressing of Everybody’s Talkin’ / Don’t Leave Me that I already owned is nearly identical but this variant calls out that Everybody’s Talkin’ is featured in Midnight Cowboy (or Asphalt Cowboy as it was released in certain markets).
